Sun protection is an absolute must, especially in summer. Our editorial team tested five different products. Which one does what it promises?

Product: Caudalie Sun Oil SPF30
Price: approx. 29 euros
Use: The sun oil is said to provide the skin with important nutrients thanks to valuable grape seed oil and give it a beautiful tan. Caudalie makes no compromises between skin and nature protection during production and so the formula is highly biodegradable to protect the marine world.
Optics: The sun oil comes in a bottle with a practical spray head. So you can spray it directly on the body. The only disadvantage: The product naturally spreads quickly on the floor. So do not apply to the tiled floor – risk of slipping!
Effect: I’m honest – I love suntan oil. But not all of them contain the right sun protection factor. With the Caudalie oil, everything is just right for me: the fresh summer scent of frangipani flowers, the pleasant texture and the tanning effect. The oil is absorbed very quickly and does not leave a disgusting film on the skin; You can use it to lie down on a seat cushion or pull clothes over it without fear of stains. Even I like to re-cream with this product – and that’s saying something.

Product: Cetaphil® Sun Daylong ™ Sun to go Stick SPF 50+
Price: approx. 10 Euro
Use: The sun lotion with sun protection factor 50 + protects face and lips, is quickly absorbed and is particularly water-resistant. The skin is additionally cared for with dexpanthenol and glycerine.
Optics: The small packaging fits in every pocket. With its distinctive orange cap, it is easy to find in it.
Effect: Practical, practical and practical again! The small stick fits perfectly in every handbag and offers my skin protection exactly when I need it. With SPF50 I can spontaneously enjoy sunbathing during my lunch break.

Product: Anthelios Age-Correct SPF 50 moisturizing care from la Roche Posay
Price: approx. 23 euros
Use: Sun protection is a must in anti-aging care. Unfortunately, I’m not a big fan of the thickness and richness of many sunscreens. The Anthelios Age-Correct Moisturizer is different. The spray sprays a sun protection mist, which is extremely refreshing and is almost invisible on the skin.
Optics: The spray bottle is kept in clean white and broken up by text fields. The size was taken into account, the sun protection fits in every handbag.
Effect: A touch of nothing – that describes the feeling quite well when you apply the Anthelios Age-Correct-Spray from La Roche Posay. Nada, niente, nothing! I am enthusiastic and never want to have anything else for my face in summer.

Product: Soleil shampooing from La Biosthétique
Price: approx. 20 euros for 250 ml
Use: UV rays attack the hair directly. Sunlight can damage keratin bridges, fade hair color, and attack amino acids. In the Soleil hair care line, UV broadband protection is used in the highest possible dosage, as well as an oil-free extract from sunflower seeds – in combination, this creates reliable protection that our hair receives even in strong sunlight.
Optics: The Soleil line embodies that pure holiday feeling! The shampoo bottle comes in a bright orange-yellow.
Effect: Does our hair really need sun protection? But something of! The shampoo is the perfect travel buddy and offers gentle and caring cleansing for the scalp and hair. The hair feels wonderfully clean and very supple. Chlorine and seawater residues are removed, the hair color – regardless of whether it is natural or colored – retains its color and shine. Scented plus: The entire Soleil line smells incredibly good and really makes you want summer, sun and sun protection for your hair!

Price: 34 euros
Use: The transparent Suncare Stick from Shiseido has a sun protection factor of 50+. It not only protects the skin from the sun, but also from environmental influences. It is water, sweat and heat resistant.
Optics: The stick comes in a handy size. The packaging in elegant blue with yellow branding makes you want summer and sun. The product itself is transparent and is applied directly to the face.
Effect: The stick clearly delivers what it promises. With my reddish hair and freckles, I’m the perfect candidate for sunburn. Applied once in the morning, the protection lasts for a long time and is very light and pleasant, especially compared to other products. The fresh citrus scent neutralizes sweat and immediately brings that summer feeling.
