Supermarket video: This is how expensive environmentally friendly food would be

How high would the prices in the supermarket be if the products there were really environmentally friendly? In the video you can see which campaign wants to create more awareness for sustainability.

Sure, organic food is better for people and the environment – but also more expensive than discount store products. And it does not help anyone to make consumers with less money in their pockets feel guilty if they prefer to think economically when buying their groceries. But what would a supermarket look like if the products cost an amount that includes environmental protection and sustainability?

Two price tags, one product

If the price for a fair and sustainably produced product is also given in the supermarket, the result is hardly surprising – because of course the food obtained in this way costs more money. Nevertheless, it becomes clear that the amounts are affordable in and of themselves. The whole weekly shopping will put many households under financial pressure if it were paid completely "fairly" – a sustainability surcharge for a few selected products, on the other hand, is hardly significant. In the video you can see what the campaign wants to draw attention to.
