Expert Marc Surer and commentator Michael Weinmann discuss the hottest Formula 1 topics before the Japanese GP.

A big issue from a Swiss perspective is of course the crisis at Sauber. After 3 races, the Hinwil racing team, together with Williams and Alpine, are still without any points. Is there hope for improvement before the GP in the Land of the Rising Sun?

“First the problem with the wheel nuts has to be solved,” says Marc Surer. Problems changing wheels resulted in serious time losses in the pit lane. The speed, on the other hand, would probably be just enough for a points ranking, says the SRF expert.

In the video above, Weinmann and Surer also talk about…

  • … the never-ending rumors about Max Verstappen leaving Red Bull.
  • … the driver carousel, which could change dramatically for the coming season.
  • … Suzuka as an indicator of the level of development of the cars.
