At a Coldplay performance in Zurich, the band got reinforcements: tennis legend Roger Federer supported the musicians on stage.
At a concert by the British band Coldplay in Zurich, the audience was happy about a surprise guest: According to Swiss media reports, Roger Federer (41) came onto the stage with the musicians on Sunday evening. As “bluewin.ch” reports, the former tennis pro supported the band around frontman Chris Martin (46) in one of their songs with a rattle.
Apparently Federer has had a musical weekend. The 41-year-old had the newspaper “Blick” according to supposedly attended the concert by Elton John (76) in Zurich on Saturday. His wife Mirka (45) and the couple’s twin daughters, who were born in 2009, were there. The two have two other children.
Great post-career performances
Roger Federer doesn’t just spend time with his family since he retired from active sports. A few days ago he met Princess Kate (41). The two celebs hit a few balls on the sacred turf ahead of the Wimbledon tournament. The eight-time Wimbledon winner praised Kate’s tennis racket performance.
Federer and the Princess of Wales also drew attention to the work of the ball children. On the Instagram page of the heir to the throne a short video of the meeting was released on June 25th. It said: “The skills and commitment of the ball boys and girls help to make the championships so special.”
The Swiss tennis legend and Princess Kate have known each other for years, their families are said to be good friends the British “Daily Mail”. For example, Federer attended the wedding of Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton (39) in 2017 and is said to have even given Prince George (9) a private tennis lesson.
In May, Federer made a big appearance elsewhere: at the New York Met Gala. He was one of the stars who took over the co-patronage of the evening alongside “Vogue” boss Anna Wintour (73).
