In a universe steampunk, between Victorian atmosphere and modernity, the divisions between humans and mythological creatures, immigrants, take increasingly violent forms. In the midst of this chaos, a detective played by Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean) investigates horrific murders, in Burgue. Target ? The fairy community, including his ex-wife, played by Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad).
Four years after an epic first season, carnival row is making a comeback with a season 2, available on Prime Video this Friday, February 17, 2023. This time, fairies and other creatures are stepping up a gear. Exhausted by the discrimination they face on a daily basis, they decide to fight for their freedom, even if it means attacking humans.
The revolution is therefore now underway, with everything that makes the salt of carnival row : convincing special effects, a deep political subtext, a beautiful universe of fantasy and romances galore, of course. All in a mixture of ambitious serial genres, which sometimes trip over the carpet, but which at least has the merit of trying things. Want one more reason to rush to watch it? This second season will be the last of the series, so you might as well enjoy it.
