Even if summer is still a long way off, the holiday sun is calling for many. We also dream of the beach, the sea and palm trees with the latest swimwear trends.
Actually, the official start of summer is on June 21st. Since there is still a long time to go and the next holiday is already in the starting blocks, we took a closer look at the latest swimwear trends. What’s trending in 2023? How do we now wear our bikinis, bathing suits and co.?
Swimwear trends 2023: We can look forward to that
When it comes to swimwear, there are nowhere near as many possible variations as there are when it comes to ready-to-wear. Nevertheless, there are innovations every year that give well-known styles a modern update. We have looked at the latest beachwear collections and show you the most promising models that will make you the star on the beach, at the lake or in the swimming pool.
The bandeau bikini is back
In recent years, sporty models with underboobs or stylish cut-outs have been in the lead at the beach and pool. It’s been a long time since you’ve seen a bikini: the strapless bandeau bikini. In the coming summer season, the popular bikini is making a small comeback, to the delight of all those who prefer a seamless tan. Cuts with a retro design are particularly stylish. High trousers or wallpaper-style fabrics – everything is allowed in 2023.
Gathers in the right place
Triangle bikinis are real swimwear classics. But in the summer of 2023 they too can look forward to a small makeover. Instead of padded variants, the fashionistas now wear ruffles on the top and panties as well as lacing at the waist. However, people with a large bust size should make sure that the top is one size larger, as the ruffles make it less wide.
We don’t just wear halternecks with tops now
We already presented the fashion trends for 2023 in our Fashion Week Recap. A revival trend from the 00s immediately caught our eye: the halter top. Neck straps can also be found in swimwear this year, albeit with glamorous accessories such as pearls, large loops or decorated straps. These models are begging to be implemented as soon as possible. Then the next holiday can come!
