Switch 2: Nintendo has already shown the console

Rumors about the next console of nintendo multiply, and the more the weeks progress, the more concrete it seems. Many hallway rumors suggest that the Japanese manufacturer will present the Switch 2 in the coming weeks, for a market launch in 2024.

But before launching a console, you obviously need games, and for that, you have to attract third-party developers and publishers. The Wii U flopped due to the lack of third-party games, but the Switch lived a much different and better life, making it a must-have machine, even without having another competing console in the household. And obviously, nintendo has already started to approach the studios.

Eurogameroften very reliable for this kind of information, claims that nintendo would have presented the Switch 2 to several developers during the gamescom 2023, which was held in Germany last month. Of course, this would have been done in the greatest of secrecy and away from visitors and journalists, but according to information fromEurogamer, nintendo would have notably presented a version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild designed especially for the Switch 2. Don’t believe that the title will be ported to the future console, it is always a simple technical demo to easily highlight the new technologies and features of the Switch 2. For its part, VGC affirm that nintendo would also have shown the technical demo The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience, with the technology DLSS of NVIDIAturn on your Switch 2, suggesting that the console would still have some under the hood! According to the sources of VGCthe Switch 2 would be a hybrid, with the possibility of playing it in mode Portable.

Like always, nintendo did not comment on the rumor, but it must be admitted that the Switch seems to be coming to the end of its life. The coming months will be marked by the releases of Super Mario Bros. wonder, WarioWare: Move It! and a remake of super mario rpgthen a game with peach and a remaster of Luigi’s Mansion 2 in 2024. After the release of these titles, we must believe that nintendo will turn the page on the Switch (and its almost 130 million copies sold) to switch to the Switch 2, the Switch Pro or whatever its name. Oh, and Metroid Prime 4 is still long overdue, but at this rate, it could well be a launch title for the Switch 2 while also coming out on the previous console, as did The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at the time.

You can pre-order Super Mario Bros. wonder has €44.99 on Amazon.
