We certainly shouldn’t expect much major anymore for Nintendo Switch system software updates, evidenced by what version 16.0.0 brought last month. nintendo has also obviously discovered some problems or areas for improvement since, because it has just deployed a 16.0.1 patch that does the bare minimum.
You will probably have understood it just by its numbering, this update only improves the user experience via modifications which are not specified in the changelog. But as always, you will need to install it to take advantage of the latest games or online features.
