Syensqo: decline of 13% in underlying EBITDA in 2023


(CercleFinance.com) – Syensqo publishes underlying net profit of 752 million euros for the 2023 financial year and underlying EBITDA down 13.1%, but in line with its objectives of 1. 62 billion, a margin improved by 10 basis points to 23.7%.

The net turnover of the Belgian specialty chemicals group – resulting from the recent split from Solvay – stood at 6.83 billion euros, an organic decrease of 10.2% compared to a record 2022. , due to an 11% drop in volumes.

A dividend of 1.62 euros per share will be submitted to the AGM of May 23. For 2024, Syensqo anticipates underlying EBITDA between 1.4 and 1.55 billion euros, the lower end of this range being ‘aligned with current market dynamics’.
