Syrian army says it shot down Israeli missiles

Feb 10 (Reuters) – Syrian air defenses shot down Israeli missiles targeting the Damascus area in the early hours of Saturday, the Syrian army said.

The Syrian army said in a statement that the strikes were launched from the Golan Heights and caused “some material losses.”

Syria said Friday that its air defenses had shot down two drones in the western suburbs of Damascus, although it did not explicitly attribute responsibility for the incident to Israel.

The Israeli army said it does not comment on information broadcast by foreign media.
