System Shock: a release date on PlayStation and Xbox, finally!

For years, Nightdive Studios has developped a remake of System Shock, a FPS/RPG 90s cult. The title was launched on computers last May, but players on PlayStation And Xbox are still waiting for information regarding ports for home consoles.

Good news, developers and publisher PLAION announced this week that System Shock release date is set for May 21, 2024 on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, almost a year after the PC version. The content will be the same, players will have to face SHODANan evil artificial intelligence that has taken control of the station Citadel and which threatens the Earth. The remake will feature HD graphics, modernized controls, a revisited interface and new sound and musical effects. Nightdive Studios finally states that “the console version features many improvements, as well as the addition of a revisited ending and an optional hacker heroine”.
