What does the Google Pixel tablet have to offer?

The Pixel Tablet is slightly longer and thicker than its Apple competitor; the screen diagonal of both devices is 11 inches. The display is very sharp at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and the brightness is also impressive at around 500 nits. Using it on a sunny day is no problem.

The Tensor G2 chip, already known from the Pixel cell phones, works inside, which has access to eight gigabytes of RAM. In our test of the Pixel Tablet, it provided a good impression in terms of performance and app usage.

Google designed the tablet exclusively for use at home, so no LTE or 5G variant is available. However, the included docking station plays a major role. The docking station not only acts as a charging station for the tablet, but also transforms it into a smart display. Thanks to the Chromecast build-in, you can stream videos and films or use it as a clock in the bedroom and as a digital picture frame in the living room.

Google’s smart voice assistant is also on board, so control can be done conveniently via voice command. Music is played via the integrated speakers. Overall, in our opinion, the sound quality is at an average Bluetooth speaker level.
