The return of Ogre Tactics is no longer a surprise: at the start of the year, Square Enix had registered the trademark, then a few weeks later, a man named Tactics Ogre: Reborn has appeared on the PlayStation Store. History to continue its momentum, the title is now leaking its release date and its very first images.
A remaster planned for the end of the year
It is once again the PlayStation Store which reveals the information before the formalization, spotted by Psdeals. This time, we can discover both a date, a description and screenshots. Tactics Ogre: Reborn would therefore be scheduled for November 11, 2022 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 with the free upgrade between old and new generation.
The RPG released in 2010 on PSP will return with a remastered version. This will offer improved graphics, a revamped soundtrack but also an optimization of the gameplay to make it a little more modern. For the rest, that does not change, we remain on the tactical role-playing game which sends us to the islands of Valeria, with choices to be made which will play on the story, several endings to discover and everything that had made the success of the title at the time.
For the moment, Square Enix has not yet communicated on this Tactics Ogre: Reborn but there is no doubt that this leak and the appearance of the game on the PlayStation Store will make the publisher react. It remains to know its price and if the remaster is also planned on other platforms, such as Switch, Xbox or PC.
