Tado revisits its connected thermostats for decoration lovers

At the beginning of September, the Tado brand announced the arrival of its wireless or wired connected thermostat models in “Black Edition”, that is to say with a black casing. For a few days, the products have been available for sale on the brand’s website and other online retailers for France and other European countries.

The novelty is only aesthetic and the functionalities remain the same, Tado explaining that it has responded favorably to a request from its user community. The possibility of buying a black version of the thermostats was indeed one of the most requested requests.

To be consistent to the end, Tado has also upgraded its application by offering a dark mode since last October. Apart from the appearance, the manufacturer explains that this helps preserve the battery of smartphones and provides visual comfort when consulting the application in low light environments.

Recently, another feature called Energy Cockpit came to reinforce the interest of the application. It allows households to track their consumption while having estimates of the price of future bills. The manufacturer says that using a connected thermostat could indeed reduce energy consumption by up to 31%.

The wired connected thermostat V3+ Tado Black Edition is offered at the recommended retail price of €220, compared to €250 for the wireless version. Other models or other Black Edition versions sold as a kit with thermostatic heads are also available, even if the latter keep their light color.
