TAIPEH (Reuters) – Two Chinese fighter jets crossed the midline of the Taiwan Strait that separates the island from mainland China on Saturday, Taiwan’s defense minister said.
A total of four Chinese planes and five ships have been spotted around Taiwan, he added.
China has been carrying out military maneuvers around the island since early August, which it considers an integral part of its territory.
