takeoff is scheduled for this summer on Switch, a first trailer

The waltz of ports continues on Switch with the arrival of Hello Games’ exploration game: No Man’s Sky. The title is scheduled to arrive this summer.

Already available on many platforms, the space exploration game from Hello Games will therefore finally arrive on Switch, and it seems that it was only a matter of time. Difficult for a developer to resist such a large installed base of machines, and the juicy sales that could therefore result from it. It must be said that after the PC, the PS4, the Xbox One, and the optimizations for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, the Switch was a bit the last territory to conquer for No Man’s Sky. Sean Murray’s title, which seems to have overcome its chaotic release, was therefore one of the surprises of the Nintendo Direct of February 9, 2022 and will cement the reputation of the Switch as a “portage machine”.

No Man’s Sky lands on Switch

The big question of course concerns the performance of the game on the Switch, and if we don’t really know what it will be (we pray to avoid a Witcher), the trailer is rather reassuring. The quality is also so high that one wonders if the game will be offered in the cloud, like what has been done with some big triple A games, such as Control (from Remedy) among others. Scheduled to land this summer without further details, we also wonder if the title will be entitled to a physical release, or if it will be an exclusive release to the eShop, which could discourage players who do not have no good memory card in their machine.
