Tales from the Borderlands was mentioned at the conference Gearbox of Pax East 2022 by Randy Pitchford who started the teaser at the end of the presentation to start preparing the ground.
We change everything but we keep the name Tales from the Borderlands?
It’s official, Tales from the Borderlands will be entitled to a sequel which will be released in 2022. Finally when we talk about immediately, we must still be wary since the magician warns us that we will follow brand new characters in a brand new adventure. It remains to be seen if it will be similar to the previous game with a new cast but which could cross known heads. We have to admit that we would really like to hear from Fiona, for example.
On the concrete side, we just know that the game will be developed in-house by Gearbox Software. It is not known whether the new acquisition Lost Boys Interactive announced this very morning, will participate in the production of the game, at least as a support team as on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands which incidentally welcomed its first DLC today.
One could suspect it, Tales from the Borderlands will not be a looter-shooter and will belong to the genre of interactive fiction but we have no more information on the episode format or not of the adventure for example. We are promised a real announcement much more concrete during the summerwhich will therefore leave plenty of time to dissect the teaser image and its silhouettes.
