While it has just arrived in PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions,
Tales of Arise has just crossed the milestone of 3 million copies sold. Good news for the RPG which had seen its sales slow down significantly.
The Bandai Namco title, released in September 2021, only took a short month at the time to reach its first million copies sold. About 6 months later, the two million threshold was crossed. Then, sales ran out of steam until the launch of the extension Beyond the Dawn in November 2023.
It now remains to be seen whether the presence of Tales of Arise in subscriptions from Sony and Microsoft will impact game sales. After all, if the DLC had been able to offer a renewed interest in the RPG, perhaps it will be the same here.
