The Netflix streaming platform has just unveiled the trailer for its mini-series carpet, centered on the life of the sulphurous French businessman and politician Bernard Tapie. Promising first images, which notably show a striking resemblance to Laurent Lafitte in the main role.
This mini-series in seven episodes promises to trace the incredible journey of Bernard Tapie, through his successes and his failures.
- Watch the series trailer:
Created and written by the duo Olivier Demangel (November, Black Baron) and Tristan Séguéla (Doctor?, Destination One), carpet can count on a quality cast. In addition to Laurent Lafitte in the main role, we also find Joséphine Japy, Fabrice Luchini, Antoine Reinartz, Hakim Jemili and Camille Chamoux.
This first trailer indicates that the mini-series will retrace a large part of the life of Bernard Tapie, from his beginnings as an entrepreneur in the 1960s to his detention in the prison of Health in 1997, through his political career. (minister, deputy, regional councilor) and in the world of football (president of Olympique de Marseille). As a reminder, Bernard Tapie died in 2021 from cancer at the age of 78.
Expected for September 13 on the streaming platform, carpet promises to be an ambitious and quality production, and can count on the expertise of producer Bruno Nahon (Skirmishers), and the creative duo Demangel/Séguéla, accustomed to the pangs of the political world.
The first feedback after the screening of the series at the Canneséries festival is in any case promising, with several journalists acclaiming Laurent Lafitte’s performance. See you in September to get our own idea.
