On January 17, 8.7 million households having benefited from a tax advantage in 2021 will receive an advance from Bercy.
This should give a little air to some of the French, more and more concerned about their purchasing power in the face of the resumption of inflation in a context of persistent health crisis. On January 17, 8.7 million households who have already received, last year, tax credits or reductions for, for example, a home employee will receive an advance of 60% for 2022. They will thus receive 5 , 3 billion euros, or 605 euros per household on average, the Ministry of the Economy said on Monday.
Put in place in 2019 when the withholding tax was introduced (PAS), this measure thus prevents households from waiting until next summer, once the 2021 income tax return has been sent to the tax authorities, to collect part of the tax benefits to which they are entitled. For example, for expenses incurred for an employee at home, childcare or even donations. The objective is to improve the cash flow of many families.
