(Boursier.com) — Technip Energiesin consortium with Subsea 7 and Samkang M&T, was selected by Corio Generation and TotalEnergies for the completion of a detailed front-end engineering study (FEED) for the Ulsan Gray Whale 3 offshore wind farm project, located off the east coast of South Korea. This FEED contract covers the engineering of the float, the mooring and the wiring in collaboration with a turbine manufacturer. Technip Energies’ INO15 float technology will be integrated into the design of the floating foundation. With a capacity of 15 megawatts, the INO15 technology is based on a three-column semi-submersible float well suited to mass production.

The Gray Whale 3 project, to develop a 504 MW floating offshore wind farm located approximately 60 to 70 kilometers from the port of Onsan in Ulsan, is one of three offshore wind projects that Corio Generation and TotalEnergies are developing off the coast of the coast of Ulsan for a total installed capacity of 1.5 gigawatts, recalls Technip Energies in a press release.
