“Ted” is back: This is how you see the new series from the “Family Guy” and “The Orville” creator in Germany

Almost nine years have passed since we last saw Ted the living teddy bear. What has happened to the naughty bear and his buddy John since then? We do not know it! “Ted” is back, but since Mark Wahlberg didn’t want to return to a series as John, Seth MacFarlane turned the story into a prequel.

“The Orville” creator MacFarlane once again voices Ted, who now has to attend high school with John. All 7 episodes of the miniseries were released in the USA on January 11, 2024 by Peacock. But how do you see “Ted” in Germany?

In Germany, streaming services are still hesitant

In Germany, Peacock was only available as part of the Sky subscription for a short time, but Peacock productions no longer have a permanent home in Germany. Any streaming service could grab the rights to the “Ted” series – but no one has done so yet.

So if you don’t want to wait patiently for Sky, MagentaTV or another provider to bring “Ted” to Germany, you can simply take a small detour. After all, Peacock’s offer from the USA is only a VPN service away in this country!
