A few weeks before its theatrical release, scheduled for August 9, the film Ninja Turtles: Teenage Years, new adventure of the famous Ninja Turtles has unveiled a new short teaser. This one shows us the scale heroes when they were still babies. Attention, cuteness straight ahead.

Remember: abandoned in the New York sewers, our four turtles will find themselves in contact with a mutagenic liquid and be adopted by the Splinter rat. If the story of the origins of the Ninja Turtles is known, this new animated film promises to show us the adolescence of our heroes… and their young childhood.

Co-directed by Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears (The Mitchells vs. the Machines), Ninja Turtles: Teenage Years is mostly written and produced by the duo Seth Rogen / Evan Goldberg, the brats behind the irreverent series preacher, The Boys And Invincible.

Here is the official synopsis of the film: “Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brothers, no longer want to be isolated from the world. To do this, they have a plan: to be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. With their new friend April O “Neil, they’re taking on a mysterious crime syndicate. Things don’t go as planned when they’re attacked by an army of mutants”.

The aesthetic of the film, deliberately scribbled and messy, was inspired by that of Spider-Man: Next Generation. Released in 2018, the film blew a real breath of fresh air on the world of animation with its rendering mixing 3D and 2D, giving offspring like The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Puss in Boots 2 or The Bad Guys.
Ninja Turtles: Teenage Years is expected on August 9 in French cinemas.
