Tekken 8: The fate of the world hangs in the ring in its epic launch trailer

Time is running out and there is now only a week left before the launch of Tekken 8new fighting game from Bandai Namco which it has already been possible to try through a demo since the end of last year. The promotional videos therefore follow one another to make you want to – except the live-action trailer -, like the introductory cinematic, introducing in passing Eddie Gordo in DLC. Now for its launch trailer where the stakes are higher than ever.

As we had already seen in the video dedicated to the scenario, Kazuya Mishima will be inspired by Tournament of Power of Dragon Ball Super For the 8th King of Iron Fist Tournamentsince the countries of the participants will be wiped off the map in the event of defeat…all this to the applause of the crowd. Given the purple aura seen during the Colosseum scene, it is highly likely that the audience is being mentally manipulated, unless they are completely stupid (or from non-participating countries). The fact that Kazuya addresses the whole world, but speaks only Japanese is also quite funny, even if it doesn’t change from previous episodes.

Jin Kazama is seen as the savior, but visibly disappeared following the prologue, while Reina is clearly not afraid of being attacked by Kazuya frontally. Given her omnipresence across marketing materials, we wouldn’t be surprised if she becomes the queen of the tournament. Hopefully all the hype generated will be worth it. Finally, we are reminded that 32 characters will be playable at launch, with online play and a mode Arcade Quest scripted using funny avatars.

The release date of Tekken 8 is set for January 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. You can pre-order your copy on consoles from €62.99 to the Fnac with €10 offered on your loyalty account, or even €69.99 at Cdiscount (here And there). Gamesplanet offers the computer game from €59.49.
