This year 2022 will be no exception to the rule: there will be a new edition of the Telethon. For the occasion, a brand new sponsor has been appointed to lead this 30-hour charity marathon. It will be… comedian Kev Adams.
The new sponsor of the Telethon has been appointed. Like every year, the charity marathon will resume its rights on the antennas of France Télévisions on December 2 and 3, 2022. During the trifle of thirty hours, viewers from all over France will have the opportunity to follow a multitude of programs and unpublished events and to make donations to help the French association against myopathies (AFM) to finance its projects of research on neuromuscular genetic diseases.
And after Jean-Paul Rouve (2019), Matt Pokora (2020), then Soprano (2021), it was necessary to find a new sponsor of the Telethon to animate and put binder to the various planned programs. In this year 2022, it will be the turn of… Kev Adams to take up the torch. The comedian is also delighted with this appointment.
Kev Adams: “Together, we won’t let go!”
“You cannot imagine how touched and proud I am to take on this role. The Telethon set was one of my first TV shows. On December 2 and 3, I will give the best of myself to carry this fight which is close to my heart and I am counting on everyone to be by my side. Together, we will not give up to give researchers the means to go even faster and gain new victories!”he said in a statement.
During these two days, Kev Adams will be accompanied by several emblematic figures of France Télévisions, such as Nagui, Cyril Féraud and Sophie Davant. Many researchers, families directly affected by the disease, and many volunteers will roll up their sleeves to make this weekend another great success. Last year, the Telethon managed to collect 74 million euros in donations.
