He was one of the most serious competitors. Bergheim, candidate for the Grand Est region, was crowned this Wednesday evening “favorite village of the French”. In eleven editions of the show, this is the fourth time that an Alsatian village has triumphed, and the third time in the Colmar region (Haut-Rhin)!
Stéphane Bern presented the famous plaque to the mayor of Bergheim, Elisabeth Schneider. Before the announcement of the verdict, the latter had not failed to mention to our colleagues Alsace some stress, but “positive”.
An annual ritual
Every year, viewers of France Télévisions are called upon to vote for their “favorite village”. The votes for the 2022 edition had been closed since March 22. But it was tonight live on France 3 that Stéphane Bern announced the name of this year’s winner.
Dieulefit, candidate from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes or even Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) were in the running.
