Tempo 135 in 50 – BMW speedster had to give up his speedster

Salzburg’s police officers have confiscated the first car belonging to a speeder since the new tightening of the law: a 20-year-old driver stepped on the accelerator at the airport underpass on the city limits and drove at a speed of 135 km/h in the 50 speed range.

Police caught the speeder around 1 a.m. on Sunday night with a laser measuring device on the Innsbruck federal highway. The driver of the BMW 420d was traveling out of town when he was flashed. The check took place in a nearby parking lot. There the officers took away the young driver’s driver’s license and temporarily confiscated his BMW. PS car was towed away. It is now on the premises of a towing company. Now it’s the authorities’ turn, because a seizure requires a notice. It is therefore still unclear how long the speedster will have to be without his speedster.
