While the hype surrounding Palworld has subsided a little and that next week we will celebrate the 28th anniversary of the license Pokemon, Those are the Temtem of Cream who are talking about them againbut not with the main game which was entitled on January 29 to a 1.6 update nor with the free-to-play Temtem Showdown. The Spanish developers have indeed announced Temtem: Swarm, a brand new experience developed in collaboration with GGTech Studios and which will take the form of an action game roguelite mixing the strategic elements of clashes between Temtem and those of survival titles, all from a top view.
In addition to a first trailer mixing cutscenes and phases of gameplay, some visuals can be found on the next page. As for the details on how the game works, you will find them below:
Temtem: Swarm combines the minimalist gameplay of a roguelite with the franchise’s iconic strategic combat, giving you the chance to establish complex tactics in a fantastical environment alongside your favorite creatures.
- Team up against the horde – Face the Temtem horde with up to 3 players. Make plans and share (or not) resources with your teammates to defeat ever stronger bosses. Unleash your attacks by combining equipment and skills at the right time to produce powerful synergies. It’s up to you to prove that you have team spirit and survival skills!
- Defeat hair-raising bosses – Clear the levels one after the other by defeating intermediate bosses and level bosses with formidable abilities. Think carefully before going against formidable Temtem like Gharunder, Yowlar or even Nessla. It’ll take guts to get there, so gear up and dominate each level before the horde swallows you up!
- Attack with all your might – Unleash the full power of your Temtem as you wish to unleash devastating attacks, impenetrable defenses, or even reinforcements for you and your teammates to eliminate all enemies in the blink of an eye. Remember that with great power comes great responsibility… Will you be up to the task?
- Evolve to progress – To survive, you have to know how to evolve: that’s good, your Temtem are made for that! Earn XP by eliminating your opponents to gain levels and power before reaching your final form! Each evolution improves both your skills and your strength. Will you be able to evolve in time to withstand the shock?
- Discover them all – Capture all available Temtem and push their power to the maximum to obtain incredible traits and new skills. Tame the magic of each creature and learn to master it in solo or co-op mode to become one of the greatest trainers!
- Nothing is never lost – You couldn’t hold your own against Oceara’s terrible offensive? Don’t worry, there is always a solution! In online co-op, take advantage of ghost mode: lend a hand to your teammates until they can revive you. From now on, nothing stops you, not even KO!
Temtem: Swarm is expected on PC via Steam in the third quarter of 2024 (between July and September) with Steam Deck compatibility. The studio’s press release states that plans for a launch on unspecified consoles are underway.
