A few days after her 20th birthday on November 13, Canadian-born British tennis star Emma Raducanu was honored by King Charles III for his services to tennis. (74) awarded the Order of Knights MBE (The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). In a statement after the ceremony, she said: “It was great to receive my award from His Majesty the King today – I am very grateful.”
Expensive Dior outfit from the advertising partner
For the ceremony at Windsor Castle, the professional athlete, who won the US Open 2021 at the age of just 18, dressed up in a special way. As a Dior ambassador, she wore an elegant black silk lace midi dress with short sleeves adorned with playful ruffles and a £5,800 tiered, asymmetric skirt. She combined it with a Diorodeo hat, a saddle belt and strappy pumps from the French fashion house, as well as jewelery from Tiffany & Co. Her outfit cost a total of 10,000 pounds (the equivalent of around 11,600 euros).
But despite making history with her US Open win and raking in a whopping $21 million the following year, Raducanu revealed according to “MailOnline” recently that she didn’t see this success as a “big deal”. Nevertheless, since her triumph she has also been able to win British Airways, Dior, Evian, HSBC, Porsche, Tiffany and Vodafone as advertising partners in addition to Nike.
