Ternitz observation tower – the largest Advent candle in the country delights visitors

The specialty of the Christmas lights at Gfieder in Ternitz has long since made the rounds. Today, in the fourth year, visitors from all over Lower Austria, Styria and Vienna come for an atmospheric walk at dusk. “It takes about 25 minutes to get to the control room on foot,” says chairman Christian Karner from the Austrian Tourist Club (ÖTK), Ternitz section. Even the short hike will delight you with a forest fairy and a decorated Christmas tree. You can get there either via St. Johann or Keplergasse and Hangweg in Pottschach.
