(CercleFinance.com) – Tesco announces that its food redistribution program, Community Food Connection, distributed the equivalent of two million meals of food during the two weeks before Christmas.
As part of the scheme, all Tesco stores provide unsold food to charities and community groups in the FareShare network across the UK.
Since the program’s launch, Tesco’s Community Food Connection program has become the largest food redistribution initiative of its kind and has to date provided more than 145 million meals to more than 3,900 charities who rely on food. they receive to be able to support people facing difficulties in feeding themselves.
