Both Tesla and Rivian are relatively new to the business compared to Japanese auto giant Toyota. But the Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T are generating a lot of public interest. Toyota wants to counteract this.
The Japanese group presented 15 studies of new electric cars in one fell swoop. Fans of the brand recognize potential successors for Yaris Cross, C-HR and Aygo X in the fresh body lines. But it is the electric pick-up that catches our eye in particular. A possible successor to the well-known and successful Toyota Hilux.
The Hilux workhorse is often used as the basis for off-road mobile homes around the world. The study shows the car as a double cabin. At the time of market launch, the pick-up will probably also be available as a 1.5-cab and single-cab version.
Toyota does not provide technical data on the range, performance and price of the “E-Hilux”. The study doesn’t even have a name. Nevertheless, the concept seems coherent.

The company now seems to have recognized the signs of the times and is ringing in the electric age with power.
