If testimonies of accidents involving a Tesla electric vehicle are not rare, hearing about a submerged Model 3 is much less so.
Emergency services in Pasadena, California, shared on Twitter the mishap that happened to two American citizens and their 4-year-old child. The driver of the Tesla the family was in allegedly pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake pedal in the wrong place, at the wrong time. They were indeed in a residential area. Because of this clumsiness, the electric car went through the wall of a property, and plunged straight into the pool.

As can be seen in the photo released by the fire department, there was no distance between the roadway and the pool. Once through the retaining wall, the Tesla immediately began to sink. Fortunately, two employees from a nearby elementary school rushed to the rescue of the occupants of the vehicle. No injuries are therefore to be deplored..
