The opportunity for the brand to take stock of its performances recorded over the past year… and for the competition of note the insolent health of the world leader in electricity. For good reason, the company led by Elon Musk has once again blown all the meters in 2023, as was already the case in the two previous years. Indeed, Tesla shows an increase in sales of 38% between 2022 and 2023.
BREAKING: Tesla delivered 484,507 vehicles in Q4, beating Wall St expectations of 480,483. Tesla delivered a total of 1,808,581 vehicles in 2023. Total Q4 production was a record 494,989.

Tesla continues to shatter all sales records
In the last three months of the year alone, Tesla produced no less than 494,000 electric cars. 484,000 copies have been sold worldwide. In total, the company sold no less than 1,808,581 cars throughout the year. To give you an idea, that represents more than 3 cars sold per minute! An absolute record therefore, which nevertheless remains disappointing for Tesla. And yes, Elon Musk hoped to reach the symbolic milestone of two million cars sold in 2023.
However, we regret the lack of details in the results shared by Tesla. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know precisely which model did well in 2023. However, we discover that the Model Y and Model 3 duo once again supported the manufacturer. For good reason, the SUV and the sedan alone represented no less than 1,739,707 copies sold. The other models in the catalog, namely the Tesla Model X and the Model S, share the rest of the loot, to the tune of 68,874 cars sold.
Concerning the famous objective of two million units sold, Tesla could well achieve it in 2024. It must be said that the planets are aligned. After the launch of the Tesla Model 3 Project Highland in Europe in November 2023, we know that the redesigned sedan is due to enter the American market this year, which should boost its sales globally.
In addition, the performance of the Cybertruck, officially available since the end of the year, will inevitably play a major role in Tesla’s future results. Finally, we recently learned that the manufacturer plans to give the Model Y a second lease of life. According to information shared by sources close to the matter, this new version could enter mass production from mid-2024. Enough to revive the enthusiasm around its flagship vehicle.
