The car manufacturer Tesla is stepping up its game with the upcoming opening of 7 new service centers in France. The company took the opportunity to change its head office in France, settling in Saint-Ouen.

Tesla launched its year 2024 with the success of its Model Y, the best-selling vehicle on the planet across all engines last year (1.23 million units), and the first electric vehicle in France. The American giant is also continuing its expansion in the country, announcing, this Tuesday, February 13, the opening of seven new service centers, as well as the move of its head office near Paris. Elon Musk’s firm wants to bring more French people closer to its vehicles.

31 Tesla branches in France by the end of 2024

During the year, Tesla will open new sites in Amiens, Aix-Marseille, La Rochelle, Rouen, Annemasse, Bayonne. Add to this the relocation of its Rennes service center and the opening, in parallel with its new head office, of a branch in Saint-Ouen, planned between April and June 2024.

In total, Tesla will have no fewer than 31 branches in France by the end of the year. The company had already improved its territorial coverage last year, with the opening of centers in Lyon-Saint-Priest, Tours, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon and Perpignan.

Tesla points out that all of its centers offer Model Y, Model It is obviously possible for each of the centers to ensure monitoring and maintenance of vehicles.

A head office closer to public transport and the Paris ring road

Tesla has also just moved on a more institutional level. The company has moved its head office from Chambourcy, in Yvelines, to closer to Paris to a large space of 2,400 m², in Saint-Ouen, in Seine-Saint-Denis, where recruitment is underway. More proximity to public transport and the Paris ring road, the brand has therefore made a strategic choice.

Its Chambourcy center will not be dismantled, however. It remains open and will continue to offer commercial and after-sales services from the manufacturer.

More than 2,300 Tesla charging stations in France

Finally, Tesla recalled having opened more than 45 new sites equipped with its Superchargers in 2023, or 620 new charging points. Its French network grew by 40% last year, with a total of 2,300 charging stations, spread across 180 stations.

Moreover, 70% of Tesla’s French Superchargers are now accessible to all electric vehicles. The manufacturer, however, did not specify how many new terminals would be installed in France in 2024.
