Tessa Mittelstaedt: She is still being asked about the Cologne "crime scene"

For 13 years Tessa Mittelstaedt was seen as a popular assistant Franziska in Cologne's "Tatort". This is how she thinks about this time today.

Behrendt) and Schenk (Dietmar Bär). In an interview with the news agency spot on news, she tells how she thinks about this time today.

As Franziska Lüttgenjohann, you were part of the Cologne “Tatort” team for 13 years. How do you feel about this time today?

Tessa Mittelstaedt: It was the beginning of my acting career right after my studies and it was exciting to start with "Tatort".

How quickly did you get used to the post-“crime scene” life back then?

Mittelstaedt: Very quickly. I was busy, both professionally and privately, I became a mom.

Her role was very popular. Are you still approached about it?

Mittelstaedt: That happens. Above all, Franziska's departure was blatant for many and therefore worth remembering. (In the brutal crime thriller, Franziska was strangled by an inmate, editor.)

What was the most notable comment you heard from a viewer about it?

Mittelstaedt: "Without you, the Cologne 'Tatort' is no longer the same!" – That was beautiful and touching.

In 2018 you celebrated your first Sunday crime comeback with a smaller role in "Tatort: Schlangengrube" from Münster. What was it like to be on a "crime scene" set again?

Mittelstaedt: It was the same studio as in Cologne when we were working, so it was a home game.

Were there any reactions from previous fans after the broadcast?

Mittelstaedt: As a public prosecutor, I was very teased in terms of hairstyle, had red lips and played a beast. Then I read on Facebook that I looked so different, what a shame that I had had plastic surgery. "Wow and huh?" I just thought.

In "Tatort: Funkstille" you have a leading role in the episode. What do the "crime scene" sets have in common?

Mittelstaedt: The fun, the joy of doing and the search for high-quality, format-appropriate solutions.

The house of your role in the Frankfurt "crime scene" is very networked. How networked is your private world? Do you use Alexa and Co.?

Mittelstaedt: No, for God's sake. My privacy is sacred.

You are a working mum. How do you manage the balancing act between family and work?

Mittelstaedt: It is always a challenge when we both work, then our network takes effect. When we're not working or traveling, we have a lot of time with our children, which we all enjoy.

Your partner, Matthias Komm, is also active in the film business. Does that make things easier if, for example, you have to go to Frankfurt / Main for this shoot?

Mittelstaedt: Yes, we both know about the circumstances, we are each other's backups and try to make everything possible.

Corona has changed a lot again this year. How easy or difficult has homeschooling been for you and your children?

Mittelstaedt: We were lucky: the little ones haven't started school yet, the big one has finished high school. So we were not affected.

Were you filming affected by the corona pandemic?

Mittelstaedt: Yes, entire projects have been completely ignored: Rien ne va plus (German. Nothing works anymore).

They live in Berlin. What do you think of the recent anti-corona measures demos?

Mittelstaedt: You are completely incomprehensible to me. I don't know what motivates the aluminum hat to speak and act like this.
