Testing foot balm: ÖKO-TEST criticizes well-known brands

Due to poor or harmful ingredients and other deficiencies, however, some manufacturers of well-known brands were rated poorly in the ÖKO test.

The foot creams from Hansaplas,L’Occitane Intensive Foot Balm and O”Keeffe”s Healthy Feet Foot Cream failed miserably in the test and was given the worst grade of “insufficient”. Harmful ingredients such as paraffins and silicones, MOAH, PEG/PEG derivatives and chlorphenesin have been detected in these creams.

But also the balms of Johnson&Johnson and Reckitt Benckiser could not convince with the grade “poor” and also failed the test.
