TFT presents its new features for its set 7, Dragonlands

Nothing seems to stop the frantic pace of Teamfight Tactics. After almost 6 months of existence, Gadgets en Folie will retire and make way for the new TFT set: Dragonlands. Focusing on dragons (take a minute to recover from this shocking revelation), TFT’s Set 7 will have its share of new features, but wants to keep some recent mechanics. Riot Games goes around the question in the latest video from the developers, a few weeks before the release of the set on the PBE.

Dragons and enhancements

Before discussing the dragons and the composition of the roster for this set, it is important to present the major information that emerges from this video. Hextech optimizations will return to TFT Set 7. Obviously under another name, since the theme changes, but the spirit remains the same. It must be said that the increases have been huge contributors to the lifespan of Set 6, which is the most popular set in the game to date.

However, some changes are to be expected. The developers want to avoid the feeling of all-powerful optimizations like in the past few weeks, while changing their spawn windows. New augments will also be available, such as one that promises free shop refreshes, for one round only.

In terms of casting, dragons are obviously planned. Except that League of Legends only has 2 poor little dragons to offer in the person of Shyvana and Aurelion Sol. So the developers had to get creative. And like Silco for 6.5, create new units to swell the ranks.

Set 7 dragons will be more powerful units than the rest, and even stronger than any other unit in the game’s history. their class bonuses tripled. But, their bonus will only activate with a single dragon on your field. Oh, and they will cost more.

Waiting for the release on the PBE

Other surprises will be discovered when the set arrives. Like the transformation of the fight against the raptors into a draconic event, which will offer the choice between a list of gifts (gold, objects, etc.) or the possibility of rerolling for a gold coin, hoping for better. Remember that Dragonlands, set 7 of TFT will arrive with patch 12.11. This means arriving on the PBE around May 24, and rolling out to live servers by June 8.
