Mad Head Games and PrimeMatter presented during the gamescom 2022 Scars Above, a shooting and adventure game on an alien planet. The title has already been talked about again on the occasion of the ceremony of Game Awards 2022revealing a new trailer for gameplay :
Scars Above mixes shooting, action and adventure in a science fiction atmosphere. The player embodies an astronaut exploring an unknown structure not far from Earth, here is a presentation of the game:
Scars Above puts players in the shoes of Dr. Kate Ward, an astronaut and scientist, sent to explore a colossal and enigmatic alien structure, called Metahedron, orbiting the Earth.
Things don’t go as planned and the Metahedron transports Kate and her team through space to a mysterious extrasolar planet where she wakes up alone, in a hostile and strange world. Determined to survive, she goes in search of her team and resolves to uncover the mystery behind what happened.
Players will have to examine their surroundings, scan and analyze the alien flora and fauna of this dangerous extrasolar planet, and then use this hard-earned knowledge to create various elemental weapons, gadgets and consumables.
They will also have to rely on these offensive and tactical devices, but also use the environment to their advantage while exploiting the weaknesses of the monstrous creatures to survive. That’s not all, players will have to unravel the mystery of an ancient alien civilization and discover the truth about what happened to Kate and her team.
Scars Above release date is set for February 28, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. For the most impatient, a demo is available on Steam to discover the first chapter and you can find cards NHP on Amazon.
