TGS 2022: Street Fighter 6 welcomes Blanka, Dhalsim, E. Honda and Ken to the roster, avatar creation and closed beta announced

As part of the Tokyo Game Show 2022, Capcom held this Thursday a presentation serving to give us news of its already known projects. Inevitably, there was among them street fighter 6, his fighting game which had been entitled to a sensational revelation last June following a teaser. Of his rosterwe officially know Ryu, Chun Li, Luke, Jamie, Guileas well as Kimberley and Juri since theEVO 2022although the list of fighters has leaked, with no faults so far. So, who’s next ?

Well, these are 4 characters who have been announced in one go and not least since they are well known to fans. We will therefore find the yoga master Dhalsim, blanka who is now a tourist guide in the Amazon, E.Honda who opened the shop Chanko House Edomon at metro city and Ken who has perfected his techniques by learning the Jinrai Kick and the Dragonlash Kick.

  • Ken – Accused of orchestrating a criminal conspiracy, Ken, a former US National Fighting Champion and ex-VP of the Masters Foundation, had to abandon his family and his business to go into hiding. A true icon of the Street Fighter series, Ken features a classic moveset with new additions that ensure he stays on point.
  • blanka – A kind-hearted tour guide and conservationist, Blanka retains his signature Electric Thunder and Rolling Attacks, and benefits from the all-new Blanka-chan Bombs and the return of his Lightning Beast.
  • Dhalsim – Monk and yoga master, Dhalsim uses firebending techniques already experienced in previous games, but also new ones. He can count on his special moves such as Yoga Fire, Yoga Arch, Yoga Comet and Yoga Flame.
  • E.Honda – Sumo globetrotter, E. Honda also combines his classic moves like the Hundred Hand Slap and the Sumo Headbutt, with his brand new Sumo Dash.

In addition to offering fights with mechanics that are still just as well oiled, street fighter 6 take the bet to offer us a whole world to explore metro city with story mode World Tourwith for that creating a customizable avatar using technology from other games Capcom. The tool will be visibly ultra complete, giving the possibility of varying our morphology, of creating hairstyles with several shades and much more. Our avatar can then fight NPCs with a level, choose a Master teaching him the cult techniques of the license, some allowing him to move easily in the city, and even go shopping to change his outfit, the different appearances having different statistics that will influence our performance.

Ultra metaour avatar will be able to land in front of an arcade terminal to take part in battles of street fighter 6 on the Web, but also play old games from the publisher like Street Fighter II. Finally, a mode Extreme Battle will spice up clashes with the ability to set our own rules, such as including bouncing bombs. Visuals of the new features can be admired on the following page.

  • World Tour – Players will be able to create their own avatars with a host of customization options to reflect their personal styles and tastes. As players progress through the immersive story mode, they’ll hone their avatar’s characteristics by participating in street fights with various Non-Player Characters and meet masters like Ryu and Chun-Li who will teach them moves specials from their own repertoire. All World Tour denizens and adversaries alike will never back down from a challenge, and will go from conversation to combat in the blink of an eye.
  • Battle Hub – Players will be able to take their custom avatars to the Battle Hub, which will act as a lobby to find online matches and tournaments against other players around the world. When two players try their hand at one of the arcade cabinets placed back to back in the Battle Hub, they will be able to start a match that all players present in this Battle Hub will be able to watch. Fighters can also head to Game Center to play retro Capcom classics like Street Fighter II and Final Fight.
  • The new Extreme Battle mode enters the Fighting Ground to offer a new way to spice up matches with original alternatives. These fast-paced, frantic battles are defined by new rules and factors that make every match a unique experience. The rules define the conditions of victory for the players, and the additional elements of the decoration, like a raging bull which interrupts the match sporadically, will come to spice up the meetings.

In addition, two more commentators were introduced, coming of course from Japan, namely Kosuke Hiraiwa (technical commentator) and His Excellency Demon Kakka (vibe commentator), who join Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Ryutaro “Aru” Noda, Tasty Steve and James Chen.

  • Kosuke Hiraiwa is a renowned esports caster who lends his expertise and professionalism to Street Fighter 6.
  • SE Demon Kakka is the lead singer of the Japanese heavy metal band Seikima-II. They will commentate the matches in Japanese, with optional subtitles in 13 different languages.
