Long-distance travel: Escape the winter – this is now possible again

++ Thailand allows entry for vaccinated persons from November 1st ++

Those who long for tropical beaches and are fully vaccinated can travel to Thailand again from November 1st. Before departure and after arrival, you have to prove a negative Corona-PCR test; the quarantine that was previously required is no longer necessary. Tourists are then allowed to travel to 17 provinces – including Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Unvaccinated children under the age of twelve are allowed to travel in company, but have to wait in the hotel for the result of the PCR test. The “Thailand Pass” will also be introduced on November 1st: travelers must register online and receive a QR code that must be presented to airlines and border officials.

++ USA opens borders for vaccinated people on November 8th ++

New York, Arizona, Florida – all possible again soon! Because after 20 months of entry ban, the USA also opens its borders to vaccinated holidaymakers: inside. On November 8, the “Travel Ban” that ex-President Donald Trump had ordered in March 2019 will be canceled. Travelers from the EU who can provide proof of complete vaccination protection are then allowed to re-enter. A negative corona test is also required. Having survived a Covid 19 infection is not enough: those who have recovered must also be able to prove a vaccination.

++ Australia: New South Wales may open “before Christmas” ++

Australia, which has long pursued a no-Covid strategy and did not even allow Australian citizens to enter, plans to open at least some regions in the country to international holidaymakers in the near future. However, there were always different reports, after the first announcement the government rowed back and then again. At the moment, it looks like travelers who are fully vaccinated will be able to move around the state of New South Wales, which includes Sydney with its famous Bondi Beach, in the near future without restrictions. Anyone wishing to enter Australia must be double vaccinated and be able to present a negative PCR test.
