PARIS, April 27 (Reuters) – Thales on Wednesday challenged its indictment in France in connection with an alleged corruption case in Malaysia.

According to a spokeswoman for the group, Thales has requested the cancellation of its indictment with the investigative chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal.

AFP reported that Thales was indicted in January for complicity in active bribery of a foreign public official in the investigation of suspicions of paying bribes in connection with the sale of submarines to the Malaysia in 2002. (Tim Hepher report, written by Matthieu Protard)
