(Boursier.com) — Thales and Skyguide, the leader in Swiss air navigation services, are joining forces to develop open architectures based on the Thales OpenSky platform and to evaluate the use of components of the TopSky – ATC solution for the Swiss market.
OpenSky is a Thales digital platform at the forefront of innovation based on Kubernetes technology. The Thales group is working more particularly on the KAST (Kubernetes Analytics and Services sTack) digital platform for its critical systems in different technological areas. The OpenSky platform capitalizes on this investment and enriches the KAST platform allowing it to meet the safety, security and operational expectations inherent to the ATM field. This platform is based on an ‘open source’ solution that has become increasingly popular in many sectors. It is seen as a way to modernize architectures and migrate traditional on-premises systems to the cloud.
