PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Thales announced on Tuesday that it had “learned of an alleged attack by ‘LockBit 3.0’ targeting data that would belong to the Thales group”.

“The extortion and ransomware group LockBit 3.0 has announced that it wants to publish the data on November 7, 2022 at 06:29 UTC,” Thales said in a statement sent to the Agefi-Dow Jones agency.

If “at this date”, the technology and defense group has not identified “any ransomware signal”, it said it takes “this allegation seriously”.

“A dedicated team of security experts are currently investigating the situation, with data security being our priority,” Thales concluded.

Around 3:20 p.m., the Thalès share fell 0.2%, to 128.35 euros, while the CAC 40 index rose by 1.3%.
