(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announces that it has been entrusted by the DGA with the development of a new sonar suite for the production program for 3rd generation nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines (SNLE) and the modernization program for 2nd generation SSBN.
This sonar suite will be distinguished by numerous technological breakthroughs and ‘will ensure for decades to come, perfect control of the acoustic situation in the face of increasingly silent threats’, according to the group.
The suite will indeed be equipped with a multitude of ever more efficient sensors within large antennas, and will be based on powerful massive data processing algorithms (big data).
