(CercleFinance.com) – Thales has developed an automatic train control system which, thanks to intelligent and efficient algorithms, optimizes the speed curves of driverless trains, saving energy while improving punctuality.
In partnership with RTA, Thales has demonstrated that up to 15% energy savings are achieved on Dubai metro lines. The impact on travel times is negligible.
This system contributes in a tangible way to reducing the carbon footprint, in accordance with the expectations and directives of the Government of Dubai, which also makes it possible to considerably reduce RTA’s electricity bill.
This innovation is important for RTA and Thales, the two partners having the common ambition to reduce their carbon footprint.
