(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announces the signing last August of a subcontract between SIGEN (joint venture of Thales and Elettronica) and Naviris (joint venture of Fincantieri and Naval Group), for the modernization of the electronic warfare system of four frigates.
This agreement follows the signing of the contract between OCCAR and Naviris for the mid-life renovation of these four Horizon class frigates currently in service in the French and Italian navies.
As part of the subcontract, the R-ESM listening system, developed and qualified for the French FDI program, will be integrated with Elettronica’s electronic countermeasures which have been developed and qualified for the Italian Navy’s PPA program.
