Thales: will equip the 169 ‘Guépard’ of the French army


Yesterday, Airbus announced the signing of a contract with the General Directorate of Armament (DGA) for the sale of 169 ‘Gupard’ helicopters intended for the three French armed forces.

Thals specifies today that several of its technologies, presented as ‘connected and innovative high performance tactical solutions’, will be deployed in these devices,

Thals mentions in particular the FlytX cockpit – equipped with a tactile interface -, the TopOwl Digital Display pilot headsets – which allow flights in a degraded virtual environment -, the AirMaster C radar – and its self-learning capabilities – the system self-protection -with automatic countermeasures-, or the complete communication, navigation and identification (CNI) suite, including the new CONTACT aro ERS-a software radio.
