Thanks to lifeguards – 35-year-old Viennese suffered cardiac arrest in the office

In Vienna-Döbling, emergency services successfully resuscitated a 35-year-old after he collapsed at work and suffered cardiac arrest.

Florian W.’s working day ended on December 13 with a rescue operation. He was doing office work when he suddenly collapsed. A short time later, the rescue workers were able to take over the professional care and continued with the resuscitation. Arriving at the hospital, Florian W. was treated with a special heart-lung machine (ECMO). Thanks to this intervention, the life of the 35-year-old could be saved. “Borders on a Christmas miracle” Only nine days after his cardiovascular arrest, Florian W. met his lifeguards from the Vienna professional rescue service and the AKH. Thanks to the quick help of his colleagues, he has no consequential damage. “I am happy that the entire rescue chain worked so well with everyone involved.
