OpenAI announces the launch of its very first store, in which users will be able to download personalized chatbots, GPTs.

Two months ago, OpenAI launched the tools to create GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), personalized chatbots that used ChatGPT and Dall-E technology to perform tasks in a particular domain. Once created, these AI assistants should quickly be able to be shared on a platform, the GPT Store. And after a little waiting, it finally sees the light of day!

OpenAI will offer many AI

That’s it, after the announcement of its creation during DevDay which was held at the beginning of November, the GPT Store is finally a reality. It was OpenAI boss Sam Altman himself who was responsible for communicating the information on his X account.

And even if this “store” has only just been born, it will already be able to offer numerous GPTs. Because since GPT Builder was put into service, nearly 3 million of these assistants have been developed by users of the service. The store will offer different categories (writing, research, lifestyle, etc.) and will highlight the most popular GPTs of the moment.

Developers soon to be paid

The tool is currently available to all subscribers to the ChatGPT Plus, Team and Enterprise plans. In its press release, OpenAI also reminds that it is not necessary to know how to code to develop its GPT assistant, and encourages users to propose their own creation to the public.

An incentive that will be even greater in the coming months. Because the American company also plans during the first quarter of 2024 to set up a remuneration system for the people behind the GPTs, based on the level of commitment. The program will start with users located in the United States first. For those who are curious to discover this platform, it is accessible at this address.
